Happy Final New Moon of 2024 in Capricorn!
We are in the final few days of 2024 - slow down and enjoy being in the special space of this beautiful portal. New Moons are a time of transformation, a time of rebirth. This is the perfect period to welcome in change, to manifest, to start over, to think of any new beginnings you are ready to embark on. Pair this with leaving the numerical year of 2024 behind (we love the ritual of leaving one year behind as we step into a new one) and know that it is a time of cozy beginnings - blanketed under lots of rest and pauses.
It’s a beautiful time to reflect on the last year - to focus on the parts that bring you joy, and to learn from the challenges that occurred. What happened in the past is in the past - you can only face forward now. Revel in the parts of joy and happiness that bring you comfort from the past, but do not waste any energy on reflecting on what brought you stress and anxiety.
New moons are a time of darkness - allow that darkness to nurture us, settle us in to rest, and allow yourself to soak it up. Rest is not something that is earned - rather, it is something deserved, no matter what your day/week/month/year was like. Use this portal of time to plant seeds, think about what new beginnings you are ready for - to call in any manifestations. And know that this time of winter, of pause, of slowness - is the perfect time to start with the first step of creating and manifesting in your mind.
Earthy Capricorn, ruled by Saturn, is a determined, honest, stubborn, loyal, and intuitive sign. These are perfect qualities to both finish off the year with and to start a new year with. How can you be honest with yourself about what you truly want? What is important to you, and what truly aligns with your authentic self? The determination for ambition from this sign helps start the year off on the right foot.
This lunar phase provides opportunity to enter into realignment with yourself. And while this is a time of year where goals are made (sometimes unrealistically) and Capricorn is a goal oriented sign (hello ambition) it is also about trusting the process. Capricorn is such a driven sign that sometimes it can be easy to get too caught up in thoughts of success, in working hard, in hustling. While this determination is a strength of Capricorn, remind yourself that it is just as important to make goals of rest - of fun - of joy - of time spent being unproductive. As you enter into the new year, be careful to not be too stubborn over any items that may not be in alignment with your life. Just because it was important to you before does not take away any of the significance of that time - but it is also okay to leave what does not align with you in 2024.
Allow yourself to daydream. What version of you do you see as the most authentic version of yourself? How do they spend their day to day, how do they wake up, how do they spend their time? How do they act, how do they communicate, how do they find joy in their life?
Use this portal of the New Moon as you commit to your rebirth - the amount of times we can transform and become the exact person who we want to be is unlimited. What version of you best fits for you RIGHT NOW? It is truly a gift to yourself to forever be expanding as you learn more about you.
Remember to give pause and thanks to your 2024 self. What a gift - you made it, you did it. You wouldn’t be here without your past self. No matter the year you just had, be proud of yourself and remember that there is always contraction before expansion.
I know that this portal into 2025 is going to be a beautiful one for you - and know that one of the greatest gifts we can give to our community, to our world, is finding and creating joy (and sharing it).
Joy is beautiful when shared. Find, create, and share joy, no matter how big or how small.

It’s the final hours of 2024. Set the scene - clean your space. Enter into the new year with a clean fridge, a clean closet, a clean desk. You deserve this. Light some candles, rearrange your furniture a little. Buy some fresh flowers or a fresh plant. Open the windows to let in some fresh air. Allow yourself to daydream about the version of yourself you see at the end of 2025. Write a journal entry about this - make a list. How do they spend their days? What is important to them? How do they start their mornings, how do they fill their time? What creative act do they do just for the sake of creating - how do they find joy? Draw a picture of future you (does not matter if it is a stick figure or an elaborate self portrait) and give yourself lots of love in this drawing - and then remember - you already are that version of yourself.
